I finally got around to getting a 15 inch spare tyre for my SV21 Camry and discovered that I can't bolt it down in the boot with the original bolt, which was designed for a 14 inch stock wheel, 5.5 width. It's about 1 cm too short now.
I need the 15 inch spare to fit over the bigger Celica brakes at the front.
Is there an easy solution to this? Are there generic bolt available at the local Supercheap autos? If all else fails I'm hoping a Celica and VZV21 Camry spare tyre bolt will do the trick. I went down to Toyota Spares but the bolts they had were either too short or too long.

Take the original with you to a good nut and bolt shop, see if you can get some threaded rod which is the same thread, also buy a fitting (maybe a wingnut and another nut or two to lock it off) to put on the end of it to screw it down with
The whole exercise should cost a few bucks and will do the job perfectly

as dale said, heres an easier solution which is the same, bunnings sell booker rod which some call all thread, which is just rod thats all threaded funnily enough., they sell it in lengths of about a metre and in all different thread sizes, cut it to size and as dale said get a wingnut and bobs your aunty

Thanks for the info.
Sounds like I will have to make the whole thing up from scratch as the rod doesn't come out of the bracket.
Going to pick a part and sourcing one that suits isn't an option?
