the 184 and 185 use the same pad but the piston isnt as big.. also the rotor is significatly smaller.. not 278 more like 265ish
the 185 singles willnot fit under 14" wheels where the 184 singles and the 185/165 twins will fit under 14" wheels.
Yeah, i'm after the larger diametre, single piston setup. Technically the steering response wont be as good due to the larger rotating mass, but i dont think it would be that noticable?
Which catalogue are ya looking at? The p00 Ferrodo one at work says that ST185 and ST184 after 9/1991 use the same pads?

oh, ok... are you talking about the pre or post 9/1991 models tho? I was also under the impression that the aus spec st184's carried thru with the 269mm rotor, although now I've checked two catalogues that list the ST184 AFTER 9/1991 as having a 278mm rotor? If they used the same pads and same rotors why would the calipers be different? Might have to go down to a wrecker and measure one up as it seems nobody on the forums can give a concrete answer. :S
i had a 12/90 st184 and it had the smaller 269 rotor. i couldnt comment about the later ones.
ah kay, cheers bud.![]()
