well redbook says it comes with power steering so theres one possibility ruled out.
My power steering has been feeling a little sad lately and ill put it down to a lack of fluid in the power steering reservoir so i went to fill it up but i cant find it!
ive had a good look but theres nothing obvious that looks like one?????
went through the entire user manual too and theres nothing in there about it
and tried searching on the internet and all i get is FOR SALE ads on carsales n stuff.
now i also KNOW this is a TOYOTA forum but im sure SOMEONE out there might be able to help me
the car is a 1992 180E, 1.8L
im also throwing up the possibility that it doesnt even have power steering which would explain the lack such reservoir but i strongly doubt it.
thankyou in advance.

I have a Crown
take a picture of the engine bay for us and I'll try and spot it...
Maybe its got some crazy electric power steering system? Wouldnt suprise me.
I used to eat alot of natural foods. That was until I learned that most people died of natural causes.
No no, it'll have a reservoir, they are just hard to find on those earlier Euros.
Now, whilst I know this may sound stupid, have you looked at EVERY spot you can put fluid in the engine bay? I mean every little one that might not LOOK like it's the one? Because there'll be dozens of them around I'll bet.
Have a good hard look around the engine bay as it'll probably be a) hiding somewhere and b) not obvious to look at.
Edit: You already said you looked on the net and the owners manual....
Maybe try joining a merc forum? I'm sure that info will be somewhere on the net. And surely it's in the owners manual??
I know this may sound stupid, but try under the dash and in the boot.
(The battery in my car is in the boot from the factory)
I have a feeling that it's actually up the front near the washer resevoir... I'm just trying to picture it!

If you locate your PS pump, then just trace the small oil line back untill you locate the reservoir.
If it feels good "DO IT" Unless it harms others.(or upsets the RTA)
Enjoy what you have To Day,cause you can't take it with you.

It could be either attached to the pump directly or remotely so either find the pump (look for anything with a lid) or the resovoir (anything with a lid not attached to the engine)

Ok it should be in a cast aluminium resevoir in either black paint or the grey of aluminium.
It has a lid around 7-10cm in diameter. It should have a nylock nut or even a butterfly nut on top. It sits on either side of the engine bay at the front behind the lights or in the center at the engine at the front.

Sorry, me owner's bible only covers 260E and up. Will pop out and have a looksy at the 260E owners manual, i think it is a one-for-all manual that covers all E's of the era.

Hmm, owners manual isnt in the 260E. Probably wouldn't have anything anyway.

Always loved the 190E, specially in the limited edition similar to the DTM car of the early 90's ala http://youtube.com/watch?v=CEHSapAo3jA

reservoir is integrated with PS pump.
it may not have PS since it's a 180E (An originally sub-50K$ version of the 190E to not attract luxury tax) that it basically has _every_ feature, even some taken for granted, stripped off it compared to a 190E.
One good thing is that there is a higher probability it came with a manual gearbox
-BK.
ok i found it, it was staring at me the whole time
the reason i didnt think it was it is it looks EXACTLY like a charcol canister and NOTHING like the reservoir's ive seen in other cars.
turns out that its full
which must only mean my pump is on the way out =(
thanks guys
