Why not pick up a blacktop engine loom and ECU from New Zealand? Cheap and commonly available. It is MAP and just needs to be spliced into your body loom.

There's some pretty cheap but reasonable after market ECUs come up on Ebay from time to time.

If you can figure out how wire and install it all yourself you might get out of it for not that much more than a piggy-back style computer.

Might be easier to tune and set up to and save you money on the dyno time.

Excluding the fact the DFA has more resolution than the SAFC2 by a lot.

$445.35aud. What the fuck??? For $484.104 aud at the current exchange rate. You can buy an smt6 + data cable from one of the Canadian perfect Power dealers that is also into Toyota trucks & MR2's.
Where are you getting these prices from? Besides, the best part about the DFA is it's a simple kit to build. The kit costs $79 and took me about an hour to build, plus about half an hour to setup. The hand controller took less than an hour and only cost $59. Even with a cable it cost less than $150. All the while it had way more resolution than an SAFC. Sure, it's not pretty and it only controls fuel, but that's pretty f'ing cheap which is the whole point.

And combine the DFA with their new 3D programmable ignition kit with optional knock sensor ($150 all up) due for release in may/june and you've got yourself a full piggyback setup.

    i bought an e-manage.

traded my MINES ECU + $400 for the unit and a factory ECU.

got ignition, injector and main harnesses, greddy knock sensor adapter (AWESOME bit of kit) etc. etc.

im buying the greddy e-manage support cable, (for tuning) and a profec E-01 for boost control, and im tuning it myself.
