JZX90/100 have an A series and indeed G series parts fit like a glove.
I have a JZX90 A series diff with a TRD 2way i took from a JZX81 G series and 4.3 ratio gears taken from I believe a Hilux ute and they are quite happy with one another in the race car.

yeah man if you are talking about eldars diff that came with the silver supra half cut.... its definantly JZZ30

Had both JZZ30's and JZA70's cars before and know that is JZZ30

Jzz30's all and only ever had A0xA or A0xB, which are the same as the A0xX jza80 diffs. No jzz30 soarer came with a B0xX diff, this was ONLY ever in the TT, 6spd jza80s

The jzx90/100s do indeed have smaller diffs, but are also coded A0xX, which caught me out at one stage as I ended up with an expensive diff which didn't fit my soarer!! The jzx90/100s seem to use A0xD to denote lsds.

Also Altezzas use A0xX diff coding too, and these are actually smaller again, being the same as an F series centre.

I think you will find that Hiluxes have "A" and "B" designations for their diffs in the later models and you will find they are still the same size diffs as earlier models although with differences inside.

Fitting the B series diff means you have to pull the axle on one side as it will no longer fit, you will need the Supra axle

Plus, the ratio will be way too tall for 90% of Soarers, being autos.

So for these reasons i think that is why no one tries to fit B-series diffs unless they are going the whole V160 conversion

Also, JZX diffs will not fit 80series Supra/30series Soarer.

I am a bit doubtful that you would have to change the axle. After all it is only a few millimetres shorter and there is plenty of movement available in the axle.
