That $2000 is a big fuckoff Garrett B.B. turbo, or a bunch of custom manifolds, or a shedload of other spastic modifications akin to the teachings of Joshstix.

... i know where my money would go.
    To the missus????

Some insider info tells me that Richard hasn't sold more than 1,000 SM4's (probably much less)
The Motec is like the GT4...

PS anyone who is looking for decent info on Motec's should visit the US Motec site... much more info available there than what's available in Aus.
You can download the user manuals and the software for most models.

Hehe, that's kinda ironic given where it comes from, but more to the point, the US sites for the US ECU's are vague as hell.

You can get the same software on both sites, but only the US site has the manuals for download.

Mos do you have any info/links on this BEANS bizzo in the IS200?
Nup, sorry, but I do know of a place that has the jap manuals for the Altezza... They might be willing to share a bit if I ask nicely
I take it you'll be running the stock 3S ECU for the TB? Manual 1Gs don't have cruise control - I'm not sure if the same follows for 3S auto/manuals...

A few IS200 and Altezza people have tried to remove the electronic throttle but the factory ECU does not like that at all. I don't know about specifics, but it ends in nothing but problems - would be cool to find out what happens with this one - is it GE or GTE?

I'm curious as to why an electronic throttle would be more prone to jamming up than any mechnical throttle body - are you at liberty to discuss?

ive just heard form good tuners that its happened on some of the fords
and also happened in the usa on ones that have been modified for bigger butterfly

its something to do with machining not being 100% and if u get any burrs or even a bent
    butterfly shaft

but alot of guys in usa have stopped modifying fbw butterflies
