AE86 T50 JDM/AUDM Differences

garth...i understand what u mean when u say that the boxes feel different your 1st and 2nd are much different form any other t50 ive driven.... i would say that u ahve the revised box.
as for your first question. are the boxes different yes.

buy a cheap t50. change bellhousings and bolt in. take your box and get $5000 spent on trd internals???

The 3A-U in the AE85 used a K50 gearbox, not T50.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but, I found a t50 gearbox at the wreckers that has written on it t50 ae71. One thing has got me stumped is that the clutch system is on the JDM side of the gear box. Did any of the Aus rollas come with it on the right hand side like a jdm ae86?
