could this be contributing to your engine's immense fuel consumption on boost jorrs?

so if i mount a BOV in my 1G-GTE (AFM and no stock BOV) the same thing will happen to me. i was gonna fit one cause i am parinoid and wanted to not wreck my turbos (yeah i have read all the arguements) but i think some nasty backfiring is enough to convince me not to put one one...

Its only running EXTRA rich for a split second between gearshifts. I highly doubt it would affect the the fuel economy that much..

Some atmos BOV's work better than others on afm cars. depends on how the car's running currently (a/f mixtures) and the adjustment of the spring setting on the bov.

Some cars just get a small puff of black smoke between shifts, some backfire, some may even stall coming to a stop.It all depends.

Damage to the cat is probably the only consern, maybe the smoke too.

it usually doesn't matter where it is placed, it really doesn't seem to make a difference, it only releases pressure not help or prevent flow in the piping.

pull it off and feel how hard it is to push the spring, i have two lying around, one will undo until you can blow hard on it and it will nearly open, the other on the softest setting was still hard to push open. so at 6PSI I would think you'll need it pretty soft, i was thinking in setting mine up so it only vents under full power, and only barely vents. It should make the whole system run smoother

im going to run 6 psi on my 7MGTE, and im removing the BOV that comes with the car, simply because it wont make any difference, being AFM, it'll phuck with the engine readings too.

that 1JZ conversion is looking better and better :/
