Default RA65 - Any good NA motors?

Hey guys I've got an RA65 at the moment and am toying with the idea of decent NA motor for it. But really all I can come up with is 2JZGE or a beams 3S. I don't want to spend like 5k on a halfcut so beams is out Are 2J's any good NA?

I haven't been able to find many halfcuts so I can't get a price on one. Would I be better to just go SR20/1G turbo?

    Thanks guys.

2JZGEs are great but you'll be wasting your time putting one in an RA65. If you want to use one, sell up and buy an MA61.

3S, 18RG, 1GGE are the obvious motors you could use. You could pick up an early 3SGE for not much.

Yes. It's tried and tested and people are very happy with the result.

Go the 1GGE, 18RG's make the promises but don't deliver the numbers.

Don't wast your time on an 18R-G, Go the 1VZ or the 1MZ V6 n/a from a Hilux

How do you propose he mounts the starter motor?

VZ no probs. No way you'll be able to do it with a 1MZ. I don't believe the Hilux was ever offered with an MZ option. went from 3VZE, 5VZFE and now 1GRFE.

Unless you have a compelling reason to stay NA (eg racing class limitations), you'd be crazy not to go down the proven 1G-GTE path. Good results, not too expensive - which cannot be said for any of the NA options listed so far.
