just incase anyone is using the skyline 4 poters
I know they aren't directly skyline calipers, but my Z32 calipers accepted my xA6x brake lines straight up - no fiddling around at all I don't think there is much difference between the xA6x lines and other Toyota's.

Now to get braided lines made...

Grega: There isnt any difference betwen the L and R struts, they are symmetrical apart from the positioning of the caliper mount.

Hydra: The difference isnt in the thread or in the taper, it is in the method. Toyota tend to use a line fitting at the end (i.e. just a screw in) wheras Nissan tend to use a Banjo style fitting.

Remember you want RT132 hubs in the end (preferably)

    Dave,

A cheap upgrade is just to buy some RT132 struts complete with twin-piston brakes and fit those. If you need new disc rotors, then you buy the Pugeot 604 (or whatever they are, cant remember now) disc rotors as specified in Takai's guide and space the RT132 caliper with some washers to fit the extra width of the Pug disc.

Later on you can then upgrade to hilux/l'cruiser calipers should you need more braking powahhz

yea i have read the guide and im currently finding parts, just did a brake job on a rzn169 and liked the look of the four pot calipers. just wondered if anyone had tried to interchange anything similar with the two pot calipers.

    takai,

I have to replace the front springs in my RA28 for RWC (mine were cut ), but want to do this Corona/Pug/Hilux conversion with Lovell springs instead of coilovers, and was thinking that I could just get the Lovells now for the front, but want to know if the springs for the RA28 will suit the Corona strut?

I thought this would be the best place to ask...

No idea, apparently the 22 ones fit, but im thinking that its kinda dodgy. You can always get some custom wound, with the RA28 top and the Corona bottom...

Thanks, probably better off just getting standard springs for now then...

after my last trip to the wreckers i want to make absolutly sure im getting the right calipers.
i went to the wreckers to get the ln106 calipers, the guy said no drama and we went out the back to search through the shelves of calipers. I found a set marked ln106 so i brought them.

Upon receving my xt130 struts i atempted to put the two together and found the caliper bolt spacing to be very different (like ~40mm bigger). so one i would like to warn people that not all ln106 calipers are the same (unless the wreckers had them marked incorrectly)

Secondly what is the best way to identify the caliper? if it bolts to my xt130 strut, has even piston sizes and looks like the photo?

    cheers guys, especialy takai!

so far as i know... just gotta make sure the bolt mounting spacing on the calliper is 100mm, if it's off a hilux, and has that spacing, should be good...
