Yes, that it does. But its still massively cheaper.

Chris...
RT132 struts do work in the same way as the XT130s, its what ive used in my conversion.
Im not sure about the offset/clearence issue youve mentioned.

Im not sure about the RT132 struts yet, its on my list of things to check out when i go source the hubs. Ill take some pics when i do that, but it wont be doing that until after this state round on the 28th.

Great write up Takai!
I did this conversion with a mate recently for his KE38 using the LN106 caliper, Pug disc and an MX32 cressida strut and hub.
The strut was 6mm shorter than the standard KE38 strut and required the change from a +20mm offset rim to a +38mm offset rim. We used a Camry (SV21?? will check on this) shock and also fitted a coilover kit while we were at it.
It will be fitted up any day now and then I'll let you guys know how it ends up as far as camber goes.
Given that I picked up the struts at an "All you can carry for $50 sale" and the other parts were quite cheap too it should be quite an effective setup for a good price.

Interesting about the MX32 struts and hubs. Seems like it would push the offset out massively, could be another good option for those who want to widen their front track.

The other "good" thing with the MX32 setup is that it puts you in the realm of more common offsets eg Silvia etc.
I will reserve final judgement on the MX32 strut though until it's all on the car and see what it's like. It is looking good though.

Mmmm, im quite interested. Pics please when it is done, i may switch to MX32 gear rather than the XT130 bits.

Will do.
How common is an MX32 Cressie though, can't say I've seen any around where I live??? Apart from the one I got the struts from.

i couldn't see it anywhere in there, so i'll put it in so everyone knows.
the hilux also came with solid discs, so these calipers won't fit on the vented discs unless you put a spacer in them
i didn't know this when i bought them, they look exactly the same as the vented ones, except they aren't wide engough to take the vented discs. you can get spacers made up for the to take the vented discs, which is what i'm doing. i'd like to just put the LN106 ones on but everyone wants loads of money for them.![]()
beer me!
The Hilux ones i pictured fit perfectly over the Pug discs. Infact i ran mine that way for a good 2 years.
