Pitty, thanks mate.
Nope, sorry... Kingpin angle is wrong and you'll get positive camber.
Pitty, thanks mate.
How about will rt142 suit?
*T14* (ST141, RT142 etc) is all the same, you need *T13* (XT130, RT132 etc). Those are getting hard to find these days...
Thanks. Again. And yeh im struggling hey.
Iv seen some on eBay for sale

Hey guys,
Some questions for those running the Big/Small Piston Caliper that uses the RX7 Pad.
I've been getting some really loud clanging/rattling sounds when going over bumps in the '23. I also get this exact same sound when I lightly jab at the brakes while driving (or when I hit the brakes hard)
Spent a long time going over my suspension to try and figure it out... nothing there. Tonight I jacked up the front wheel, spun it by hand and had the missus jab at the brakes... CLANG!
Did it a few more times and found it was coming from the caliper. Had a look while it happened and noticed as soon as there was some pressure on the pedal, the pad touched the disc which was rotating, and it would be pulled around with the rotation and clang up against the body of the caliper.
Without pressure on the pedal, the pad can wobble around in the caliper quite freely, letting it clang against the body of the caliper. You can see the marks above the pad where it has been hitting the piston as its pulled around with disc rotation.
The holes in the pad where the locating pins go are elongated, allowing the pad to move up and down slightly.
I suspect this has only started occurring as my pads wear down, when previously there was more meat on there the pad is lightly touching the disc and is prevented from moving around much, probably already being pulled up against the caliper.
That being said, I haven't seen a pad wobble about so much in a caliper before - the piston is probably 1mm away from the back of the caliper when the pedal isn't pressed...quite a gap.
Perhaps a bleed of the brakes will help re-seat the pistons closer to the calipers, stopping them from moving about so much? Still plenty of meat on the pads - a good 7-8mm.
Otherwise, any thoughts or suggestions? I'm using the Bendix RX7 Pads, I could check out the original toyota pads to see if the elongated holes are bit closer together, preventing the pad touching the caliper.
Any help appreciated.

I think you will find there should be some little spring loaded clips which clip onto the pad backing plates & then weave under the locating pins & hold the pad under light load & will stop them rattling around & the Pad should then stay in the up position from when you last applied the Brakes, also make sure the pads are the correct ones too & there is not to much side clearance on the pads ..
Bleeding the brakes will make no difference ..
Piston retraction is Normal & should happen, make sure you dont have to much movement in the wheel bearing which will knock back the piston, but is seperate issue from the pad knock / rattle you are getting ..

Caliper setup looks very similar to the ST205 fronts. They have a little clip that clips onto the top edge of the pad and hooks around onto the pin. They basically push the pad down against the thrust side and stop the rattling. They don't work perfectly but they do make a difference. I'd see if the Hilux / Cruiser calipers have these cos sure as hell the ST205 clips will cost you a bomb.
Cheers guys, makes sense.
I'll check out ToyoDIY to see if there is anything in the diagrams.
I also own a Toyota Surf which has similar calipers, I'll see what's in there - from memory there was something like you describe.
Bearings are all fine - and pads are the RX7 model which Bendix list as the exact same length as the original 4x4 pad.

That looks more like the pin retainer. The clips on the St205 are made from spring sheet and fold around the end of the pad backing. If I still had the car I would take a pic but unfortunately it's gone.
