takai,
if i want to go for a 5X114.3 stud pattern is it as simple as ordering a different disc???
thanks
ps. wicked post
Yeah, i have one of each of the vented versions. The late model Hilux caliper is the same as the Landcruiser LN106 caliper.

Um, not quite. You can probably get a different disc with a different stud pattern, but the hard bit will be finding MS65 hubs which are in the 5x114.3 setup.
Infact from memory you can simply bolt the same Peugot discs onto the back of the MS65 hubs as they still have a 4bolt disc attachment system. Remember the discs bolt onto the back of the hub.

thanks i do remember reading about that for the g series rear which im also doing at the moment, so thats good news
do you think it would be possible for you to make a price list and where you got your parts from etc?
thanks again
The price list i will make as its a good indication. The places on the other hand are a bit weird. Of the two places i know which have had the XT130 struts we have bought both pairs. Ditto for all the discs, and im getting the last pair of LN106 calipers from the other supplier....

The MS65 hubs have a 5 stud pattern on the back, so the rotor needs to be drilled for that pattern (5x100 from memory).Originally Posted by takai
Use the same bearings as the XT130/RT132 hub, and itll bolt up perfectly.
Photos of my setup are here (RT132 struts, Pug rotors, LN106 calipers, MS65 hubs, WRX greenstuf pads):

you can apparently order the discs as a BLANK, without holes drilled, then take them to a machine shop and have them redrilled to 5x114.3,![]()
also when bolting up the disk to hub...... bolt holes have to be elongated slightly to bolt up perfectly, just drill them out with another drill bit...bout 1.5-2mm bigger

whoops now i follow...my badOriginally Posted by takai

Getting them in blanks would be a real PITA.
I had to wait 3 weeks to get mine in the slotted variety.

Can some help me here?
I have the original corolla strut tops(ke30) onto the shock with the coilover top hat underneath that. However:
When i tighten the nut the shock keeps spinning. How can i stop the shock spinning when IN the car to tighten the nut?
Also now that im not using the original spring hat the nut bottoms out(cant be tightened anymore runs out of thread) but the strut top isnt tight against the part where the old spring hat used to locate. What should i do here?? I can put the old spring hat in whih i think will solve the problem but surely other people have come into this problem.
Will aftermarket strut tops(camber adjustables) fix this?
so your are trying to tighten the strut TOP nut...the ut that goes thru the top of the strut top plate?Originally Posted by cuzzo
if so, get a pair of vice grips onto the strut rod (high up as posible so if you do scratch the rod it wont damage seals whel its inserted)
easiest way is use a rattle gun, always works!![]()
also if your using the coilover spring on the old spring seat, it most likely wont seat up flat against the seat,.....
also what runs out of thread?...cant picture it,,,,,![]()
