Actually that's untrue. Ask Garrett. Even their head Australian (Geoff Watson) @ your turbo center has been quoted to saying it's not the fluids hitting the blades that cause a problem. It's people not properly filtering the airflow. What you can get into is poorer end atomization that might be achived post compressor.Would advise against running water injection upstream of a turbocharger, the vanes are easily damaged if getting hit by water droplets.
