Re: Bending downward 4cm of 1 side of a xA6x Chassis HELP ME !!!! :(
the wheels are still basically straight , only a slight bit off
when she launched up the wall , she basically ripped the front lip off (under the bar) and then rode up the small (80cm high) wall on the chassis rail !
so apart from of course the lower lip and the right side of the front bumper taking a pounding all shes done is bent the front of the rail infront of the sus tower as EldarO said , .
ill give it a few goes with the sledge on Wednesday.
Taking the engine out to use a Oxy on it and heat it up would be WAYY to much effort for such a small bend - i cant believe i didnt straighten it when i did the chain around the pole trick.
as for the opinion to get it done properly with $$ and a Jig , its outta the question
2 people said "nope"
and 1 person said "sure thing , it will be around $1k"
haha ...
Anyway , i will post an update with the progress of it on wednesday ...

Re: Bending downward 4cm of 1 side of a xA6x Chassis HELP ME !!!! :(
the only ways i can think of will straighten it out forwards not downwards.
i don't spose you know any really really REALLY fat ppl ?
do you have access to a pit ?
This is dodgy as hell but somebody might be able to refine it.
if u can winch it from the bottom pulling it to the ground but supporting the car to it's not sitting on the suspension it could work. i don't know if the rear wheels would lift up or not tho.
