Is the volvo diff a 1030 or 1031?
Here's a few pics relevant to this thread, T series vs. F series vs. volvo pinion gears

Cheers mate, I never went too far, and I think about this thread every time I see these pinions in the shed. Finally got off my arse and took some photos!
Does anyone have a photo of how they drilled their Volvo diffs to 4x114.3? i am up to this and i cant see a way of doing it nicely.
Thanks
SHEPPO..
Pulling up bit of an old thread here, however I am about to embark on this conversion.
I would like to keep the 114.3x4 stud pattern, my engineer and myself do not like the Swiss cheese look of the Redrilled rotor.
The option is to either get a blank Volvo rotor or adapt a different rotor. A different rotor could also lead to different caliper/bracket/Park brake.
After a little research through brake catalogs, it looks like a bluebird 910 rear rotor could almost sub for the Volvo rotor and give the desired 4x114.3.
The od of the rotor is 1mm difference, the hat height is similar (some mods may be required to center in the caliper), I just need to work out the park brake od(rotor id) to see if the rotor can be adapted.
Has anyone considered the bluebird rotor? Or others
I don't have my diff until the 18th, but if anyone can measure a Volvo rotor Park brake id it should give me a good idea if this is going to work.
Roger
Roger I'm trying to find a way to get the same dnoe here except I had no ideas for the stud pattern so I'm pretty damn happy to read your post. I have a diff in the garage but it didn't come with rotors, if there's anything I can do to help let me know. Also I'm wondering what you're doing to get the hubs to the right stud pattern?

Are you still after the park brake diameter? I can get it for you off one of my old disc brake diffs, I just sold it onto a friend!
