you really should get the pulley kit, put them up and measure the exact belt length by using a piece of rope. once you know the length just bring your original belt to shop and ask if they have the shorter version which quit you needs.
Hey all, me again....
Another question with my conversion. Ive ditched powersteering and aircon and getting a 2jzgte water pump on my 1jzgte, now wondering how or where i could find a belt to fit this due to its a lot smaller now? Also planning on doing one of those pulley kits if that matters..
cheers again

i read somewhere something about needing to switch to a commodore tensioner pulley as the belt will end up running ribbed side to the pulley in that combination
I run the spring loaded standard tensioner on mine, I removed the smooth pulley and used a ribbed pulley off a Gen 3 commodore motor idler pulley, It bolts straight on.
The belt I used is a standard pk belt off the shelf 1080mm I think, can't really remember at the moment and car is covered up at the moment, if you really need the size I can check it tommorow if you require.
I hope this helps

^^^ what he said
Gmonkey,
Ok what I have is like this
no a/c or power steering and the pulley at the top right of the picture which is on the factory tensioner was smooth but is now a ribbed pulley off a gen 3 v8 commodore drive belt setup
I hope this makes it a bit clearer
Aaron.
yep thats exactly what i want to do!!
