The stall speed is dependent on the amount of torque the engine produces. So if you had the 1g converter and it stalled to 2200rpm and you put it in a 7m it would most likely stall at 2500rpm or so (just guessing numbers)
Do you have a 7m-gte? If the 1g and the 7m stall at the same rpm with their original converters then if you put the 1g one in (if it fits) then I think that would be a good thing. I just went from a 2000rpm to a 2500rpm stall and I noticed absolutely no difference in drivability.
