umm, clutch catalogues will have this information already no?
usually, people worry about what clutch fits what engine (flywheel) and gearbox.. not which car.

Agreed. It's pretty much a given that a clutch designed for an 18R will fit any 18R, regardless of the vehicle it's fitted to.
What would be useful is a list of part numbers against engines, eg:
18R: VCK327
2T: xxxxxx
5K. yyyyyy
...
etc.

maybe you could add all these helpful threads together in one thread? or as norbie suggests,Originally Posted by RT104GT
which engine, which flywheel, which bellhousing, which input shaft.
they are the critical points for fitting a clutch.
don't say i wasn't told what?
instead of removing your post yourself, you could improve on it and make it even more helpful![]()

when i am back in Oz i will ask to take photos of the relevant pages.
or perhaps you could do that at one of those city stores?
i'm not suggesting to steal it.. just take pictures of the relevant pages. then retype the relevant contents.
oh, and also the TRD catalogue is ok for cross-referencing parts too![]()

OT i know but: a lot of the information you find and "share" with the toymods community is already known by most people, or it appears that you are just poting things to try and gain rep.Originally Posted by RT104GT

A reputation? What on an SIG website? You are kidding right? Already have one having owned a JDM genuine 18RG/GT since November 1976.Originally Posted by WiLo

Also posted stuff from an electronic manual you speak of and got shot down in flames, so as I said dont complain when people won't share what they know.

what he means by rep is where it says Reputation under your name on the left hand side. you can reputation points or lose them etc. but its clear you dont really care about it as you didnt even know it existed haha![]()
Gaday Da Horse, Got the micro fiche mate all OK thanks for your input, i can now look up part numbers that no body wants to know or everybody knows and don't need HI

No need to spit the dummy, people were just making suggestions. If I'd known you had such a fragile ego I would have kept it to myself.

stop drinking, start thinking, breathe.. and then post
take picture, take photograph using a camera.
i never suggested using a photocopying machine. that would be stupid.
i take pictures of catalogues all the time
you were not shot down in flames, the information was not particularly relevant. 18R engines in different cars using same clutch might be assumed to be the case. if there are differences, then it is useful!
as was suggested, it would be of more interest to the community here if you were to list the clutches with respect to the engine and gearboxes etc that they attach to. most people know what engine is in their cars (here) and many cars don't have original engine.
as for owning car since a long time ago... ok.. but still doesn't mean anything with respect to your posting.
is that your KE15/17 in the background of one of your photos?
if you have microfiche, well, that could be useful to someone. gloating about it and taking your ball home is not the way to integrate into a community i would have thought...
please edit your first post back to relevant data, and make it even more helpful
or post it in general section...

As posted a few weeks ago I have a fiche machine and parts list for a whole list of Toyotas.
No offence meant and non taken.
the reality is the 18RG engine is still stuffed no matter what anyone says or excuses that are made and i bought it in good faith from people who should know better.
end of comments thanks for all the advice.
yes Im fragile I drive a Toyota JDM with no side intrusion bars.
And yes that is a 197x 3K-B Sprinter ex Singapore Airlines rally 1977 driven out from London.
