    Default Vacuum Diagram for 2tgeu?

i recently tried to find a vacuum diagram for my 2tgeu but unfortunately had little luck. i was wondering if anybody has or knows where i can find a diagram for my car.
i have reason to believe this is a major cause of idling problems i have, and am looking into replacing all vacuum lines.
the 71-79 celica manual wasnt too specific on my import engine, and every other 2tgeu ive seen seems to have a different setup..

    cheers..

i've got a photocopy of a JAP 2tgeu manual somewhere, but am packing up at the moment. if i find it soon and no one else helps before me i'll see about scanning the appropriate pages. if you don't hear from me within a week i've prolly forgotten so feel free to PM me.

    cheers,

I have a TA61 Celica in the backyard, complete, original and running, post up some pics of particular areas you want to trace and I can get corresponding photos for you. My first bit of advice though is to check the pipe from AFM to inlet manifold, they have a habit of splitting where it is hard to see and causing a vacuum leak.

If you are still looking for vacuum advance diaphrams, we had one rebuilt/made for a laser tx3 by a company on the sunshine coast up here in qld.

I don't have the name with me here, but can get hold of it if needed.

You talking about the diaphragms that is hanging off the dizzy, (vacuum advance)

If so i should have at least one because i dis assembled and chopped mine off when i went electric with the computer.

I even remember collecting a few caps that go on the other end for the fine adjustment.

    ok... got some pics up..

here is as they were when i bought the car.. (forgive my shotty 1am paint work)

as they come out of the throttle body, one to the charcoal canister, one to the split 2 ways with some random metal divider, one goes to the distributor, and the other to that idle screw (altho i have another screw right near it - 2 idle screws??) and then there is a small entry/exit coming out of that, and there has always been nothing on there. that cant be normal. im pretty sure it sucks not blows, but isnt very strong..

thats the setup as is, and ive bought new hose to replace it, but want it set up right this time

    cheers..

the item in ur blue diagram is the idle up for aircon. the unconnected port goes to a solenoid to switch a small vacuum from a tapping at the rear of the plenum. it can then switch [via the diphragm and without feedback] the airflow from before to after the throttle.

the other port at the throttle [to your charcoal canister - i don't have one of these] opens only above idle.
