No there are a few cars still in completion, a Hliux springs to mind that look verry verry good and would give Rod a run for his money, even though it's pretty tough.

Question though what do we class as a work in progress is it strictly a trailer queen or can it be a car thats driven there but still awaiting major upgrades. Ie I have about 5 grand worth of parts sitting around for my car .
    If in doubt power out

that is a good idea because it would encourage more people to bring incomplete cars to the event

I tihnk you'd class it as something that's been started but not quite completed yet and not yet able to come to the event under it's own power.

depends... are they 'potential' mods, or do you actually have them... for instance, I have $10,000 in 'potential mods' I'd like to do to my car... the likelyhood of them eventuating the next 12 months in minimal therefore, it's not a work in progress, it's a daily driver (even though it a weekender these days for me and only comes out during the week for shopping trolly duties)

I own the parts I'm sure many others are in the same boat to, ie they have shitloads of parts sitting in the garage/shed/bedroom just awaiting a final few to go nuts

    best track car

    best drag car

best ( dare i say it ) drift car

for those with motorsport only cars, not road goers

Might encourage a few to bring out some cars we'd never see on the roads or at club meetings

that's why they have the best purpose built... it's less specific as very few of these cars come out anyway

Nice idea, but you'd have to know the peformance of the vehicle etc to make such a judgement, 'cos at the car show they're all static displays and therefore you can only judge on the visual aspect and not the performance side.

The presentation or look of a fully prepped race car or rally car or drift car would make itself fairly clear

maybe thats where all should be combined under " motorsport " car , then those built to race in all conditions are judged against each other. then those purpose built for show and shine , sound off etc would have their own category and 2 or 3 more trophies to offer
