Another thing to consider is the shape of the floor pan. When there is more vertical rise/fall the stronger the floor pan is in that direction. This will ultimately help chassis strength and gives you lots of options for the roll cage. Have you considered doing something with the 2.4l hilux motor? Seems to be a lot of interest in these motors in various mags at the moment, but mainly for drag racers.
