3sfe problems

ok my unkles camry is blowing heaps of smoke at start up but after 2 mins or so theres little or none but it runs rough as high and low idles stalls during driving

so i pulled the plugs out and 2 of the 4 were covered with oil is it the oil rings
i think so but he took it to a mechanic and he does not know whats wrong with it i think he cant be bothered to be honest

is there any other things i could be missing

I'd say it would be valve stem seals. If they are damaged/worn they will leak oil into the cylinder over time, burn the oil off and then run ok.

i 2nd the valve stem seals... give the head a freshen up, you have to weigh up weather its worth it depending on the condition of car etc.

would it be easy to fix i know dumb but gotta ask
or should i just change the head for a used one

I reckon with a little looking around you should be able to find a complete, running 3sfe that you could drop straight in, at the same price as a head and easier to fit by far.
