When I mentioned I was gonna put a 1UZ in a MA70, some very nice people from this forum and the lexus ones lent me a crane etc. And my father-in-law had a welder (its him in http://v8supra.com/mounts.html)

My suggestion would be to get the Soarer engine with the auto and then find a UZS131 Crown auto box and use this as this box has a slip yoke output which is compatible with your tailshaft, even though it maybe need to be retubed. Adapting the speen sensors over is easy. Use the bell housing from the Soarer box and bolt this to the Crown box. The Soarer will control the Crown box no problems. UZS131 and UZZ31 have different bell housings. The Crown engine sits on the piss(tilted slightly) so the Crown bell housing(U2 marking) aligns the box back up(axially) so it is not tilted. The Soarer bell housing(U1) keeps everything aligned perfectly. The V8 Torque converters from both V8's are interchangeable but the stall speed maybe slightly different.
You need to use the TC from a 1UZ to match the V8 bell housing length and you must use a V8 box as the input shaft from V8 boxes use a different input spline count to other A34xx style boxes found in 6 cylinder cars.

    I agree with this fella.

Seema like a waste of time to me. Get the 7m built properly so that it is reliable and it will also be a lot easier to make power with.

I think an auto 1uz in an a70 would be a flat 16 second car at best. And even though you say you want a cruiser if that is the case I would just fix the a70, sell it and buy a celsior. At least that way people won't expect the car to be fast unlike the a70

funny shit right there, i was at a car lot looking at a celisor last weekend

might be down(up?)grading to a GZ10 NA Manual.... yet to decide, i dont know...

if i do buy the GZ10, ill be sticking a CT26 on a custom manifold and boosting that bitch till it breaks, then go ahead and buy mattys built 1GGZE.

ok, so i need a soarer halfcut, with a crown gearbox, from bellhousing back, so the only part im actually going to swap on the halfcut is going to be the gearbox, not including the bellhousing?

just need to make sure, all these big words make me mighty confusered.

tailshaft i dont mind getting modded, since i have to do the exhaust anyway, but swapping sumps/pickups etc. etc. is just a pain in the ass.

so custom work here will be mounts, tailshaft, exhaust. correct?

    soarer halfcut,
    crown headers,
    and
    crown gearbox.

    thats my parts list?!?!

i'm not sure that using the crown bellhousing will be a problem, but since you'll have the proper one you may as well use it. it's only 7 degrees tilt or so, i think gianttomato put his in level and hasn't had any problems. i'm also using the crown bellhousing and hopefully i'll have no troubles.

i had a look at Matty's (a.k.a Wildsupra) UZS123 Crown today, i can honestly say its an incredible conversion, everything just seems to fit perfectly...!

so, i think ill go ahead with this, im trying to get my head around it, and Matty really helped out.

basically, what we came up with, was, to buy a crown halfcut, because of the tailshaft, the exhaust, the headers, the auto ecu/loom etc. etc. and to just source a soarer sump and pickup, then its just the problem of the mounts and wiring.

wiring i should be able to nut out myself with some diagrams, solder, heat shrink, zipties and alot of time, but the mounts are giving us the most grief.

can anyone help out here? V8Supra?
