Stupid Q: Alternator Pully removal?

Hey all,

I need to replace the pully on my alternator as its a bit scared up, when I tried clamping the pully and cracking the nut that holds the pully down all I managed to achieve is a more mangled pully.

Is there some special way that you undo the pully? If not then any tips? I just don't wanna fk the new pully tightening it up that way...

Hey mate! Long time, no see.
I think a rattle gun is the key...Maybe ask a workshop for 30 seconds use of their gun.

u need a special service tool or try and be tricky with a vice and a rattle gun


just go down to your local alternator place or auto elec and ask him to crack it for u

most will do it for free

Found one! too easy. Woudl powersteering pump be the same call?

power steer pump would require a different SST, but same call on rattle gunZ0r
