Half of them have probably been closed off or turned into residential estates by now, like Amaroo Park (and Oran Park, in the near future)
Not sure if this is the right section for it but I found this site with a whole heap of old racing tracks on it.
Maybe we could aim a few cruises out to some of these and check them out in person?
even better still maybe approach the councils and see if they could close off some of the roads? but that is probably a long shot

Yeah most are a least in a state of disrepair but for the ones that still exist in some for like the parramatta park of the katoomba track it might be good to go and have a drive or walk around ?![]()

You can walk around catalina at the Blue mountains in fact there a dogs park near it, the track has grass growing through it nowadays, um Warwick farm may be a wee bit hard as the horse track is on it lol.
Motor magazine visited Gnoo Blass and Catalina last year to remember the good old days but its probably for the best that some closed ie safety fences at catalina consisted of railway sleepers walls and no run off.
If in doubt power out
Ha, they where the good old days,Westmead, Windsor, Amaroo Park, Catalina & Warwick Farm, I watched the F1's there when I was a kid.
We used to sit on the roof of the old man's Buick parked right next to the timber crash wall at Westmead & Windsor tracks.
If it feels good "DO IT" Unless it harms others.(or upsets the RTA)
Enjoy what you have To Day,cause you can't take it with you.

Oh damn... I remember Catalina Park soooo well... and not for it's history either. Back when I was in High School we had an ad-hoc cycling team put together to compete in a 24-hour marathon around that damned track. 3.2km per lap of endurance and cycling hell.
It was about this time of the year that it happened too, and there started out being about 13 teams, but when it started raining, all but 4 teams had packed up and pissed off home for the day. Long story short, that day felt like it was never gonna end. We truly did have 4 seasons in a day on that track, and by the time we'd finished the 5 of us in the team had completed 368 laps. We got back on the bus and went home, and I finally got to take off my shoes. Soaking wet, and looking whiter than snow. 24 hours I'll never forget.![]()
