Find a whole new dizzy altogether if you can, even a cheap-o 2TG for spares.

With proper tuning, it'll drop the power band to about 6200rpm+
Trust me buddy, i know what cams are in there.

Thanks for the info chuck, im already part of the CCG but havent been in contact with steve or roger as of yet. (I believe ive got your number floating around somewhere though )

Id really say all she needs is new seals and a damn good cleanup/tune.

however...................I could be horribly, painfully ....WRONG

the mismatched pair won't dramatically affect the idle, it's the light load driving that will be horrible due to the uneven progreesion holes. with a traditoinal dizzy 14 degrees at idle should be fine.
now pull off the carbs, check the manifold is true, make sure the seals are in good nick and reassemble carefully with nice even torques. when you get rid of the vac leaks, then tune the car. when you get this far, have a go on the previous advice. if you get stuck again, put another post up.
This is a really far out, witty and clever signature.

I know a guy that used them on his race car and he used F16 emulsion tubes also he ran fixed ignition as 25 using a standard 4age 86kw dizzy and a 4ac ignition module out of a AE82 corolla. He said it ran very well right through the revs. he said sometime in bad whether it was harder to start.

For those with 2T dizzy problems, grab an RA60 dizzy and coil. Swap the top of the post,(pull the rotor off, lift out the felt, and undo the phillips head screw) and the plate with the hall effect sensors from the RA60 dizzy into the 2TG. Wire up the coil, and you now have rid yourself forever of those 'orribble things called points.

You do not have to regraph the dizzy, as no springs or weights have been changed.

    cheers Chuck.

u think u've got dramas with two webers. try havin 4 but there's nothin like the induction gargle comin from the throats of those things. its music to my ears.

there's a weber book out that is a great help. it covers quite a few types, tells u how they work, tuning them, part and jet numbers etc. i swear by it.
