    Default haltech smallport 4age CAS

    i have an e6k and a 4agte motor running a smallport head. now ages ago 1jz-rola or maybe it was takai? told me i could use the smallport dizzy and its 24tooth trigger wheel and single tooth home trigger. im curently doing the wiring but im stuck on the dizzy.

    i have found a little info from the old fourms here
    http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.p...t=0#msg_329836
    but im still stuck. there are what looks to be like two single tooth triggers in the top and the 24 tooth wheel in the bottom. how do i make this all interface with the haltech?

    You dont use the second "bottom" single tooth trigger. You only use the one which is TDC. The other one is 180* out from TDC.

    Wire the TDC one up to home trigger, and then the 24tooth up as usual.
    Ill see if i can post the wiring i used when i get home.

    Its the top one. Line up the TDC markings on the dizzy and you will see.

    Takai = correct.

    the 24 tooth sensor has red and white wires
    the TDC home sensor has yellow and white wires.

    the white wires of each are the signal earth.

    Ah, so its supposed to be Yellow/White. On mine the white is so faded/crusty that it looks yellow too. That explains a lot

    If you still have the plug on it this may help to know which is which. http://www.toymods.net/TechDocs/4age...stem/ig_08.jpg

    In microtech wiring the yellow wire doesnt get used. Im using the smallport dizzy as a CAS on my 4agte.

    Then use the one on top, green wire it is. I just had a look at my two CAS's which are easily accessable and one has the yellow on top and the other has the green on top. Reasonably fickle i believe.

    Will take photos soon, camera is still charging.

    you should still have a tooth with a notch or some kind of marking on it, and this lines up with the mark on the dissy shaft casing.

    get engine to TDC compression (the 4age book link you gave works fine for this) and insert mr dissy as per the 4age book instructions
