    interesting thought.. you could probably use foil as well? scrunched foil like cleaning chrome bumpers?

    You get the same problem on glass shower screens etc that get constantly exposed to water, apparently it's the minerals and stuff in the water that can actually attack the glass and leave it marked. It's not calcium build up as some people have suggested. It's probably less of a case on car windows as most of the water to hit them is rain water which doesn't have the same minerals and chemicals in it as tap water!

    Fine steel wool or some sort of mild cutting compound would be the way as suggested.

    I have a product called Auto Glym Glass polish which is specifically designed for removing water marks and light scraches from car windows. It cost about $20 for half a liter which will probably last me a life time For the ACT people I got it from Tony Farugia Bodyworks in Fyshwick.

    I also have some of that Autosol for polishing my simmons rims. Hadnt thought of it for glass but it ~could~ work but it would be more expensive than the Auto Glym (and tooth paste)
