    Thanks Takai. Will do.

I had a talk to a couple of the engineers at work, and they assure me that the spreader plate might actually need to be bigger. Because of the window.

The spreader plate is there to stop the nut pulling through the panel. The panel will distort in an accident weather there is a window there or not. Thinking about it, the pinch section at the base of the window may well add a fair bit of strength.

A bigger plate won't hurt anything though.

    Good thoughts good thoughts.

Now to decide which belt i want, 4 or 5 point harness. Anyone got a recommended belt/distributor that can deliver in the next fortnight?

Again, most of the Speed shops will have belts on the shelf, albeit at a slightly higher cost due to the retail nature.

Be careful of the angle of your rear straps!
besides that it isnt hard to do, be easyer if you take a pic of the inside of the car to give advise

I'll grab a better picture tonite. But that picture shows what im dealing with.

There is a large subbox behind there, so take that into account when your looking at it.

no harness holes. But im a big bloke, and my shoulders come up to the top of the seat, before they hit the headrest.

I've found G-Froce belts going for $110 new, and looking at there install info, as long as it is between -5* and +20* of horizontal to my shoulders, ill be right.

From looking at the picture, it might be tricky to get a decent angle - They look like they need to be mounted on the window

Short of welding in a harness bar, I can't think of another soultion....
