    the 1g rods are the same as 4k rods as far as i have seen not thicker or bigger, and there are a few different pistons avavilable eg.. n/a, supercharged and turbocharged i think the pin heights are different on each.

    ok i thort the rods off the 1GGTE would be way thicker considering its a turbo and i think ur right bout the diffrent pin hieghts can anyone confirm?

    The 1GGTE rods and piston I have in my motor are nearly twice as thick in the beam area, the pin diameter is different but the big end is the same, I have the motor in bits at the moment in which I am using a 3K block with 4K crank, as the pin to deck height of the pistons if shorter than the 3K piston. So the 4k crank offsets the different to give a good top dead centre height.
    If I can get my hands on a camera I will try and get a photo for you but can't promise any thing yet.
