chuck it on dyno just for exhaust/AFR check...
it's either seriously pig rich (andyou have a black rear bumper), or...
you maye have a fuel leak somewhere....
or you need lighter shoes
what about highway cruising?
are you throwing your petrol out the window? something very wrong there!

i get bang on 16L / 100k's every single time, no matter how i drive nor how much boost i run. I've got that since i put the motor in, even through all my mods it has still remained the same.
But on the bright side, my N/A 7M used to get 19L / 100k's
Yep go figure that one out for me and let me know why![]()

HAHAHAH it didnt change when the wing or any other bits of the kit were added
But i'd say extra drag is still there anyways![]()
is that giving it some? what if you drive gently? (grandma style)
if your AFR's are good everywhere, then it is either heavy car, huge amounts of drag (unlikely), or right foot behaviour?
16L/100km on highway is pretty bad... but it depends how fast you are going![]()

yes they are the same, most codes right through the toyota range mean the same thingOriginally Posted by Wildsupra
i do roughly 14L / 100km for normal daily driving and 12L / 100km for highway but then again i dont run an oxy sensor![]()
Buy a $20 AFR gauge & wire it in, its easy to spot when it goes open/closed loop. My 1G is open loop to 4k & no boost, then closed loop rich past 4K & any boost.
Its the same whether im giving it full boot everywhere or goin nanna styles.Originally Posted by oldcorollas

I know for sure she doesnt rev it to limiter every gear change....like i do, so thats one difference in our style of driving, yet still with the same fuel usage.
I thought my fuel gauge and odometer must have been connected some how, but now my speedo cable broke and i still seem to use fuel, so no luck there![]()

to test if your OXY sensor is actually working (closed loop) whilst in cruise conditions.... hook up an AFR gauge to it - it should swing back and forward from rich to lean
...... butt scratcher?!
I will add my figures to this thread next Thursday after I have done a 400km round trip![]()
1280kg helps my cause but 2600rpm at 100kms doesn't compared to everyone with their 3.9:1 diffs! Hoping for 10L/100km
Is that 1280kg with you in it or without?
