looksie what i just found.....
the SC in general looks like a SC14 but the clutch looks awfully like a SC12![]()
i saved the pics so ill re-upload them to imageshack so they arent lost when ebay kills the link
Hi peoples, I stumbled accross a yank importers (links below) and saw this picture of two superchargers, apparently SC14's. Upon some searching, it seems US import tarago's (Previa) in 4WD form had SC'd engines with SC14's, BUT, from the pic it looks like the sc pully is smaller!
So, could this pully be directly bolted to our 1GGZE sc14's, spinning up higher boost??
I know a few guys have been trying such pully changes (Mic*) with success.
Anyone seen or know anything about these US/Jap SC's
Cheers

hello
I'll see what I can find, i knew a bloke who brought back a few SC's from Japan a while back, he said some were off a 2.4L engine, i just thought he was mistaken...![]()

I adapted a late model AE92 (120mm) SC12 clutch to fit on my SC14 conversion. It was very simple. The SC12 clutch is almost directly transferrable, just needs a couple of mods to work.
First up, the clutch disc part (SC12) with the splined 'hole' needs to have the very end carefully drilled out in the centre so that it is free to slide on the SC14's splined shaft (Since outwise the clutch disc would be be stuck on the end of the splined shaft, too far (10mm) away from the pulley face to work.
Next, since the disc can now slide up and down, a sleeve (a simple tube the right length and diameter) needs to be machined to a certain length to locate the clutch disc.
This spacer goes over the splined shaft to space the outer clutch the right distance from the pulley. Add to this another spacer (or washers) so the nut that holds the pulley on has something to do up against.
Works beautifully. Surprisingly the smaller late model SC12 clutch is VERY STRONG, despite being a fair bit smaller than the SC14's clutch. It has not slipped in the range of 18-19 psi of boost on my engine.
Cheers, Nick

Now flogg'n the SC14 @ 18psi....
I read on an MR2 -> SC14 conversion site the previa pulley is 115mm, dont take my word for it though
I cant for the life of me find the site now either :/
