2007 Toymods Board Nominations.

This is the official thread which announces all nominations for Toymods Board positions for 2007 received by the Secretary.

It will also reproduce the statement that each nominee is required to submit as to why they should be selected for the position.

Any general questions can be emailed or PM'ed to the Secretary. Any questions relating to a specific postion, and what it entails, that you may be interested in running for can be directed to the current board member in that position.

Generally you will be required to attend most Board meetings as well as the monthly meetings and be available to attend Official events to assist. Each position has it's own unique demands above that.

Voting for the board positions will be held at the AGM on the Monday 19th of Feburary 2007. All nominees must be Financial members for the 2007 year. All People wishing to vote will also be required to be Financial members for the 2007 year. Kirsty will be set up to take renewals on the night.

AGM Packs have now been mailed and (assuming that we have your current mailing details) you will receive Voting, Nomination forms and information for the AGM as well as the latest edition of the Toymods Newsletter. Nominations will close before the meeting and all nominations must be recieved and acknowledged by the Secretary no later than the 12th of Feb.

President:

1. Joshua Bartlett ( Joshstix ) Member No. 66

I would like to continue on as President of the Club for 2007. The opportunity to help guide the direction of the club is a privledge that I enjoy.

Vice-President:

1. Rodney Try ( TheToyman75 ) Member No. 25

I Rodney Try have been a member of Toymods since it's founding year and look forward to being an active member of the Toymods Board for another term.

Treasurer:

1. Shane Smith ( River ) Member No. 273

i wish to take on the Board position as Treasurer. I'd like to become more involved in the running of the club. Not only will I bring maturity and flair to the role of Treasurer, but I'll -ve rep all of those that oppose me in this endeavour!

Secretary:

1. Simon Hall ( Lambolica ) Member No. 194

I very much enjoyed being a part of the Board for the last term and would like the chance to further develop and reinforce some of the changes introduced to the position last year, and introduce further improvements this year.

Membership Secretary:

1. Kirsty Shilling ( Kirsty2520 ) Member No. 149

I wish to continue my role as membership secretary for 2007 as if feel I have done the role justice and would like the opportunity to contine to do so.

Social Secretary:

1. Glen Jones ( BlackSupra ) Member No. 238

I would like to once again run for the position of Social Secretary. After the completion of a successful 2006, I would like to reinvent the role and introduce a greater array of social events to the table and increase the social dynamic of the club.

Cruise Secretary:

1. Luke Stitt ( The Stitt ) Member No 160

I The Stitt, would like to continue my involvement in the running of the Toymods Car Club , by taking on the roll of cruise dude. I think that this roll would better suit me than my previous rolls.

I.T. Co-ordinator:

1. Lukasz Szymanski ( Mos ) Member No. 2

As founding member, I would like to continue my involvement in the club. Also I am told an auto behind a 1UZ is soft, and in addition, apparently a single exhaust is even softer.

Special Events Coordinator:

1. David Hoban ( DavGT4 ) Member No. 192

I'd like to be concidered for the Special Events Co-ordinator for another year to have the chance to further the events this position looks after. I'd personally like to see these events grow and benefit the club and it's members more. Thanks for all the support last year!

Ordinary Committe Member (2 positions):

1. Stephen Wandel ( Wagonist ) Member No. 120

I have enjoyed supporting the club. Other commitments have forced me to step down from the Treasurer's role, though I'd like to continue working for the club to help it's future.

2. Matt Nelson ( Whatthe? ) Member No. 342

I've been a member for a couple of years and I'd now like to contribute to the running of the club and help to further the club through 2007. That, and I'd like to provide a voice for the 7M owners in our community

3. Robert Lincolne ( RobST162 )

I, Rob Lincolne would very much enjoy continuing to use my web design skills to serve Toymods! as well as participate in other board responsibilities.

just a suggestion with the voting forms, can the persons forum handle be included with their real name on the forms so we know who we are voting for?

I think From memory you have to Write on it who your voting for (unless your at the meeting, and then yes I do think thats a good idea)

Since the voting forms are sent out with the agm Packs. ( IE in that should be a copy of the constitution, a Nomination form and a proxy Voting form) it is going to be really difficult to put names on then before people are nominated.
Make sence.

We CAN however.
Make sure that when the statements are listed on here that Simon Puts up the forums names of the people along with their Real name.

Any update on this? It would be most interesting to see what the expectations are for each Board position. It is now Jan and the AGM is less than 8 weeks away, and the sooner we can get this information, the better.

Also, those that wish to go for a position... do they PM anyone, or dump a post here or what? Do they just put up their name or do they put in a speel about why they think they're worthy of selection?

Mate anyone thinking of running for a board position should ideally have a chat to josh or myself about the position and what will be required of them should they get it. To help with the thought process tho here is the draft position descriptions for next year. They are not 100% finished but they are pretty close.

The official notification has to be received in writing on the forms that will be mailed out, If the last few years are any indication they will be madly posted the morning of D so expect them around 4 weeks before the meting

The nomination forms wil be much like these 2005 forms (The bottom item. If you check them out you will see anyone interested in running need to be nominated and seconded by 2 FINANCIAL club members and has to provide a little blurb about what they want the role or why the feel they should have it etc.

i wouldnt mind throwing in a vote, but i hope you haven't sent these out already because i've changed address since last year and i haven't notified you of the changes yet :x I'll put the new address on my renewal form which i'll post in next week though..

And yes the packs HAVE been sent out as of Yesterday.

I am pretty sure the pack comes with a renewal form, So it may save you extra postage if you do both things together.

There should be a digital copy of all of the AGM pack put up on the forum well before the actual AGM for those that have moved and didn't recieve their pack as well.
