    Default Gizzmo Boost Controller

Hi , i don't know if this question has asked before. I was just wanting to know peoples opinions on the gizzmo ibc who have them fitted . How do they compare to other controllers ? I have a mx83 with a 7mgte , not running a controller yet. I was looking at an eboost2 but was thinking this was a bit of overkill for my setup. Cheers !

i have installed these on several different cars now. they have always done well and been really easy to install. havent had a drama yet.

the cars havent been weapons but the gains of fitting the gizzmo was pretty good and was pretty easy to setup on the road.

i think the gizzmo will suit your needs ok. i havent heard of bad reports either, it will be interesting to hear what others think

I just installed the gizzmo MS-IBC, ie gizzmo2. I'll have the car on the dyno soon to give you some good results. It was easy to install and pretty simple to setup.

Thanks for the input guys . The gizzmo seems like a good option by all reports , and bang for buck factor seems reasonable . Interested to hear how your set-up goes ! Thanks.

As am I, don't have the cash to get an eboost 2 so gizzmo or hybrid seem to be the cheaper options. Or possibly an eboost 1.

Price-wise i have seen the gizzmo advertised for 399.00 from autobahn . DNARacingworks has the eboost2 on speacial for 675.00 compared to 900.00 from autobahn , when i told them they dropped the price to 700.00 . So no doubt you may get the gizzmo cheaper , maybe ! Would be interested to know of anywhere else that sells them cheaper .

Can I be your mate ???

Seriously, I have one in my Cressida and it works great..

Best thing about it is that it is small and easy to mount somewhere out of the way from prying eyes and the numbers are large and very easy to see.

only downside (not a major one) is that they do NOT show vacuum

I have seen them on ebay for the $350 mark also...

I wasn't aware there was a 2nd version available (until now), with 6 preset boost settings up to 3.5 bar . [ flynsx ] Do you think this would be due to the quality of the installation kit or the controller itself , just curious . How much for 2nd version ?

flynsx: that is strange as that is basically the opposite of what the IBC was designed to do. Intelligent as it sorts most things out itself.

Why would anyone ever need 6 boost levels? 2 is plenty, one for street and one for race.
