depends on your setup.
Some more info would be good![]()
Most EFI std fuel systems opp anywhere from 30 - 40 psi
however on more demanding / competition it can be anywhere from 35- 100 psi
Just wondering what considerations (eg pressure) need to be taken into account when planning a fuel set up?
depends on your setup.

It is an EFI system.
I would like to know how to work out what the fuel pressure will be.
ie, this sized fuel line, with a pump of this flow rate etc etc will give a fuel pressure of.
unless the pump is too small for the job the fuel pressure in an EFI system is set by the pressure regulator.
The Pressure regulator senses the manifold pressure/vacumn and regulates fuel pressure accordingy so that there is a constant pressure difference from one side of injector to the other (unless running a rising rate regulator).
what engine is it, is it standard , whats done to it, what do u plan on doing to it, what fuel system already exists , was the car efi or carby, etc etc etc etc all need to be answered to answer fuel demands of an engine, and as has been said the fpr regualtes pressure not the lines.

Custom exhaust manifold
CT26 turbo (recently re-coed)
Starter motor and rebuilt alternator incl.
Coil packs and ignitors (M&W)
JMR Crank trigger disc and CAS mounting bracket
180 rwkw
Thinking of using a vl turbo fuel pump and 5/16 lines.
Car was carby and i think it has 1/4 lines now.
ah thats better some info.
Ok for that setup 8mm / 5/16 will be sweet.
Fuel pressue of 40 psi will be good and give some leway with the injectors.
sounds like you havent skimped on the rest of your gear so go out and buy an adjustable pressure reg. That way you can run what ever pressure you like![]()

how much are adjustable pressure regulators?
And will the vl turbo pump be up to the job?
dont be f00ooled by payin extra for a turbo pump part numbers for the turbo just the normal vl and the n13 nissan exa all have the same pump. theres a bit of useless trivia for u
but a vl pump will be fine
pick em up for around 200 give or take 20 bucks
make sure you replace all the existing shit with efi hose.

yeh, not paying extra for vl turbo power lol, might buy it as a package with a surge tank and wondering if it will be up to the job.
also where do you get efi hose from. Bunnings (seriously)?
get it from performance shops, supercheap , autobarn etc etc

so will the vl turbo pump be up to the task?
yeh it will but around the 200 rwkw mark it may start to struggle
