Hi there,
I'm running a 100kw, w/ 4ac alternator (exhaust side). And I'm wondering if the 100kw alternator, JDM AE86 4AGE alternator and the 4ac alternator have different offset pulleys?
Would anyone know? The 4ac alternator is in the way of everything and I fudged my air con and my dizzy because of it!!!
Now it's time to go! What should I do doctor phil!?

yeh i do it's in my backyard! but it hits the frichen waterpump housing (i'm using the 4ac waterpump too...) =/
sorry i left that out
that makes it easyer! i think i have one that came out of sprinter with 86kw 4ag, ill see if i can find it tommorro and take a pic beside a 100kw one!
Im running a sv21 camry alternator on a 100kw 4age, however the charge light stays on while the cars running. Im running twin webers on it though (its in a ta22), so I dont know how it would go with efi.
oh i see! thanks for the reply guys!
i'm just wondering if the jdm ae86 alternator and bracket would bolt straight on without any problems with the pullies alligning
i'm pretty sure the 4age alt are all the same offset.
it is the AC and PS that have different offsets depending on FWD or RWD.
put it this way
ive had a jdm ae86 one an ae101 and an ae111 alternator in my car
they all worked.the plugs on the 101,111 are oval shaped and wont fir the std plug on the ae86 loom. 10 mins and a soldering iron fixed that problem.

thanks for that!!
Couldnt find the other alternator and from memory i had to change the water outlet to suit the alternator and bracket when i changed it from small port head to a big port head! I Have a couple of new RWD water pumps and they sit out further from the block that the FWD water pumps! not a lot about 5-10mm but its hard to measure properly because my FWD pump is mounted.
these pics might help! The pulleys for the FWD and RWD are the same pulley as i have both here. So if you look at the pic you can see were the mounting face needs to align with the alternator pulley!
