hrmm, couldn't find where i saw it before but...

i think the calendar is awesome.. it's the first thing i notice when i load up the page.. is not too big... and i think, oh, thats cool, there's stuff on in the next two months.....

(and then oh bugger.. too far away )

so anyway, i think the calendar looks good.... if it was maybe 10 or more items long, it might start to look a little odd.... but as it is now... all good...

heh heh, just have to reduce the number of offical gatherings

edit (maybe) esp how it says, "Upcoming events etc etc"... noice

Thanks stew, your feedback is the exact reason that I asked for the calendar to be put up there on the front page. Basically it puts the clubs activities in plain view of everyone who looks at the forums, and will hopefully give the general public a much better understanding that Toymods is actually a car club, and not an internet forum.

If it ever bugs you, you can collapse that little section. Perhaps Josh can comment on limiting the number of items to appear on the front page?

If you click on the calendar menu in the toolbar at the top you get to see the full calendar, which i've been slowly adding all our events and other noteworthy events to. Im pretty sure the permissions are set so that only select moderators have creating/editting rights... so it wont get cluttered up with shit.

But yeah - long story short... calendar is cool, and i like it.

The calender is really starting to grow on me having it up the top there. When I first posted about it I hadn't tweaked the template to make the calender full width and it looked very dicky but it's a lot better now.

I better make sure that this calender is only modifiable by moderators so that we don't end up with a huge array of random events being posted and filling the page.
