2 words; dont bother.
all the effort that would go in wouldnt be worth the overall gain.
if you cant weld (or have access to a welder) then you really have no hope of such a conversion
hey guys
As the title says is it possible to fit a 2SC motor and gear box into a KE30 corolla ?? im not sure, iv got a rebuilt 2SC motor and gear box sitting here.. and also is it even worth the trouble??
thanks Nathan

Put it on ebay, someone with an old rona or celica will want it.

Id say do it, its sitting there doing nothing anyway and it would be a good experience for you to do.

i vote for the sell on ebay option
hello
If you have all the parts, and the ability to do it, therefore it won't cost much at all, then it might be worth doing for a cheap crapbox to run around in. I put an old T engine into a KE30 a few years ago, and hammered the thing beyond belief (broke 7 diffs in that car in a matter of months!) - it was the greatest cheap car I've ever seen. Sure it wasn't at all quick, but it sure copped a hammering and it did its job.
ok guys thanks for all the feed back im not quiet sure whats happening at the moment but if anyone needs any bits or a complete 2SC iv got 2 sitting here one's good for bits and the others a rebuilt motor
thanks nathan
put it in the paper and either sell it or get a trade for a better fitting engine

yea i was going to to thatOriginally Posted by Jackel
meh, if you just want reliable transport, do it
if you want a performance car.. maybe no... but if you have the engine.. you have the car (with tired engine) seems like a good idea(but a fair bit of work.. but fun
... and car set up for 3S conversion later)

the 2s isnt really a bad engine it's just that us toyota folk have been spoilt with so many twin cam engines i mean compared to datsun peeps were've got it good you could conpare the 2s or any of the early s series engines to the L series datto motors
both have a half respectable bottom end both have sohc heads both are non crossflow it's just that the the L series engine have more of a following and have had more devolment pretty much every thing is or has been tryed and test on Lxx engine and it's all they had to work with were as we have had 18rg's,3tg's,2tg's,1g's,4ag's and so on to play with
no one has really played with early S series engines
i think thats all i can think of
2s would go nicly in an ke30 with a carb/exhust it would have more then plenty go for a daily run about
yea sounds goodOriginally Posted by sam-131
but how difficult do you think it would be to put it in there??
