unless you have a 1jz in your shed I would ask why??? you have a choice of (I hate to say it) several easier swaps that will give you big H/P using same brand engines . I do not wish to burst your bubble but when you change from the original manufacturer when doing engine swaps it almost allways creates little problems which cost big and are hard to overcome unless you have the expertise and workshop facilities at hand. even changing parts that "should" fit sometimes don't. and a 1j won't make it a toyota although it will make it a light weight rocket.
    cheers greg.

Say what, you for real ? Drive a barge Aristo and you'll know the meaning of weight !

Japs drift the knackers out of 100's all the time so doubt weight is an issue

yes for real well it weighs about 1550kg when i weighed it and that to me is heavy compared to a silvia
think 1j in a lighter car would be awesome, they are not too heavy but could be better

Would the custom brackets to suit 1jz conversions in S13 suit the S15?

I would go the JZ swap over the RB swap, so your on the right path if you really do want a 6cyl S13.

Just remember that power delivery is different a lot more boring with a 6.

Anyway, with the swaybar you can space it down to take care of it yet obviously its your enginemounts that you made wrong and not the motor itself (as the motors dont bolt in).

Anyway GL. I just gave up on my JZ R33 project (money related). PM me if you want any parts, have a good 90k motor, R154, twins, singles, proper engine mounts that you can bolt on and will clear your swaybar lol etc. GL.
