I'm so impressed with how my race wheels/tyres look... shame the rest of the car and driver is not going to make the most of them![]()
Hello all,
I finish work a bit late tomorrow up at Ringwood. I want to go but the convoy is leaving earlier.
If there's anyone leaving around 5-6pm can you give me a lift?
I don't really want to train it up by myself

i wont be taking the shitter up there as a spare
as the hire vehicle is not heavy enough ,its only a mitsubishi van and is a real handfull in the wet let alone towing a car on a trailer
with a $3000 excess if anything happened to it i am not prepared to take the risk ,
this in turn solves shamos trailer problem , and oscars seat problem

ive struck a problem guys,
i had the car at work on monday to get the brakes done, everything went well, brakes feel great. i took the car back in again today to change the oil ready for the weekend. i get the car up in the air to find coolant absolutley p!ssing out from the water pump! it looks like the water pump gasket has completley shat itself!!!
i cannot belive the timing of this! one day out!!! thankfully the boss has been nice enough to give me the day off tomorrow to run around and desperatley try to fix it.
i am really freaking out about this because i just dont know how im going to go....
wish me luck and pray for me! i will keep you all updated as it progresses.
yell out if there is any thing that we can do

At least the gasket didn't shit itself tomorrow... or on the weekend. Think of it that way. Good luck though Shepo.

Even though we've had a whole freakin year to prepare it's going to be a freakin photo finish again! At work doing the stickers now, then off to finish a few things on the white 22. Tomorrow, I'll check over mine in the morning and then we're off. Still need to suss out the logistics a little though...
Assumption is the mother of all f**kups...
Bugger just read the scrutineering stuff closer.. Roll cage means fire extinguisher cant be more than 3 years old.. Mine is 4. Have to pick one up tomorrow on the way.
Anyone know why it can be 6 years old with no roll cage?
Jay Im leaving around 5-6pm maybe later but am towing up the ute....dont know how you will feel about sitting in the sprinter on the trailer
Nervour as shit and stressed about not getting everything together, bloody stress for fun stuff doesnt make sense!
See you all there tomorrow!

Yeah bloody extinguisher bullshit, I thought I would be fine with my 'Automotive" type extinguisher with plastic bracket, now turns out that its no good! So will be crawling under car in dark at motel tomorrow night to fit the new metal bracket one I got. Pain in the Arse! Shepo keep us posted!

Ahh that sux, at least mine has the metal bracket so I just need a replacement..
...best of luck to everyone in the mad scramble to get everything finalised and ready for the weekend.......having done it for the last 2 years I was much the same but am slightly glad not to be doing it this year........although a little sad not to be competing.........with any luck I will be up on Sat to lend moral support and anything else that needs supporting.
