1GGTE - 3SGTE cam gears <- On the verge of a break through, looking for guinea pigs
hey fellas, i heard the other day that the 4AGZE vernier cam gears can fit the 1GGTE...
anyone know anything for or against this?

If you can get some accurate measurements from the 1G, I can tell youI've got the 4A gears sitting next to me. Otherwise, give it a week and our 1G will be here, and I can swap them on

i can tell you next weekend when my wife brings the soarer home! as i have plenty of 4ag ones here and a 1ggte in the soarer! if you dont find out in that time

36 teeth, cetre hole is close and outside diameter way off! no they dont fit

IF the gears fit, but the teeth are wrong, see if the timing pulley from the motor the gears came from will fit the crank of the motor you want to use. If so, problem solved... though you'll most likely have to modify the timing cover if the cam gears are WAY oversize (i.e, I wouldn't go putting 7M gears on it (which are 48 teeth))

just looking at my 1ggte ones again, on the exhaust one where the arrow is pointing you can see stamped into the metal a G
if you turn them over, stamped into them is a S

i havnt been able to get my hands on any measurements, but as a said before, both 3s and 1g have 46 teeth

wow... good stuff fellas, went away for saturday, get back and it's all done...
by the looks of things the 3S might fit.. if it's not a straight swap, might not be too hard to machine one or the other...
anyone got a set of 3S cams to clarify??
