Hey guys i've just had to fab up my own baffle for my 1j's sump and now that i'm putting everything back together, I need to know the torque settings on the bolts for the whole sump...
Have googled and searched here but found nothing useful...
Any help is appreciated, cheers!
Mitch
Just run with 10-12nm for all your 6mm bolts and you can't go wrong, the only time you need to be more accurate than that is when you do internal engine components (bearings, main caps, cam caps etc). That's the standard figure that's in the front of the workshop manuals. I think they actuall say 10-14but 12nm at the most is plenty.

Awesome cheers mate! Can always count on toymods![]()
the 10mm bolts that hold the pan to the sump are piss weak so be careful. ive managed to snap 2 just using a 1/4" ratchet with one hand. Ill be using stainless hex heads when the motor gets built.
