TA22 Camber plates, same as AE86??

Hi,
Can anyone confirm AE86 camber plates will fit a TA22?

Or can someone give me the bolt spacing dimension from an AE86?

only a TA22 but i remember looking at going down that path while looking for tops fo my TA22

OK, well TA22 tops have bolts spaced 100mm apart if you measure direct from bolt to bolt. The PCD is around 110mm

MAybe someone knows the AE86 spacing....

I just measured my cusco ae86 ones and these are the measurements,

Im not 100% sure where to measure from so did a couple

from far end of each bolt it is 110mm

closest end 95mm

middle 99mm - 100mm

Thanks, I think I know what you mean. Is the distance from the middle of each bolt 100mm and they are all at 100mm apart?

heres a quick diagram , they arnt all 100mm across which is weird

Ive taken the measurements off the car , ive had them sitting in the box in my room for the last couple of months. They are the triangler type cusco tops not the old design round ones

TA22 measure 100mm apart for all 3 bolts as per your drawing...

Its not really that strangs lots of strut tops have odd shapes for various reasons from the sheer fact they cant fit a equalateral triangle in or to"ket" the top for some reason

The plate on the right is from an AE86, is does appear that one bolt is spaced further apart. The one on the left is from a KE** and is equally spaced like a TA22

Well the search continues to find what is the same as a TA22....

Maybe you could email T3 and ask them a question eluding to if the ta22 and ae86 camber tops they make are the same?

But as for thoughs to above , if the ke have the same measurements as the ta22 then and if the ta22 ones fit into the ke then the ae86 ones should fit as ke ones can be swapped into the ae86 to increase camber slightly.

this is in the ke70 though so not sure if other series ke ones would be the same

The tops t3 make for the ae86 dont fit the ta22 but they also make ta22 ones. These can be used on the ke30 (not sure what else) because ta22 and ke30 both have equal distance studs at 100mm.

There are a few different KE70 tops too, AE86 fit the late model KE70 but not the early model.
For my KE70 ones I ordered AE86, see this to compare -



A to B 108mm
A to C 100mm
B to C 105mm

Measurements are approximate. Supposedly the other two types are -
1. 100mm equilateral triangle
2. 114mm equilateral triangle (never seen this one myself)
So that may be why people think the AE86 tops will fit the TA22 as the AE86 are the same as later KE70's and the TA22 are the same as early KE70's.

this man speaks the truth. you can use the ae86 ones on a ta22 if you file out one hole. the ae ones are not identicle, albeit slightly different on one hole.

Anyone got a link to suppliers who sell the T3 plates for the TA22? I have checked Techno Tuning and waiting to hear back from them. Are there other suppliers?

There is a supplier in australia. Well more so a distributor.

on ae86 driving club.

i emailed him earlier on quotes for the ta22 plates plus other gear such as the ta22 strut brace. Still waiting on a reply.

get them from techno. you will pay less anyway. i only waited 2 weeks for mine.

actually i don't think anyone in aus sells the ones to fit ra20 (ta22). you have to buy them direct anyway
