Hi people. Just turbocharged my 4agze engine. Thanks for the help. These are the things that i did. Took out the supercharger and use a 4age intake manifold. VF35 turbo, Evo 8 fuel pump, Sard fuel regulator, Vr4 intercooler, Greddy E-manage piggyback ECU and a OER boost controller. Went for dyno last week , boost up to 1.3 bar and it came out like 295bhp. Quite content with the outcome cos dun think any guys in Singapore have this kind of results on their Ae101 and also i didn't really do much to the engine. Guys out there who turbocharged their gze, is it possible to boost higher? I am still using the stock piston and stock Injector.Thanks.
It's possible to boost higher for sure, it's just a matter of how long you want your engine to last. Frankly, I think that's a bloody good figure for a standard 1600, especially with a piggyback ECU. I've seen a GZE make 350 ATW, but that was a big, laggy turbo and aftermarket forgies. I have no idea how long the engine would last under that kind of treatment, I guess it depends how good the tune is and how hard you thrash it...

standard injectors with stock regulator is supposed to be good for 150 rwkw a cheap upgrade is to 440cc black injectors from the 7mgte they cost about $150 for 4 and they will allow about 200rwkw

295bhp (220kw) on a stock gze at 19psi? Ok Im guessing you mean an engine dyno?
Eitherway a 4agze wont last long at 19psi. Im not saying its going to die next month but it will definately die sooner if your driving it hard regularly. Wind it down a bit if your concearned about engine life. Otherwise you'll be needing a rebuild within the year (or so)
4agte> it has to be flywheel. that figuire with a stock gze at 19psi isnt possible. (If he is talking atw then the only thing i can forsee is that its with 110octane and the dyno it ran on is on 'downhill' mode. ie its shit.)But I mean... even then I cant see 220rwkw.

My engine is bog stock ZE with a turbo, has been in the car for 6.5 years and has run 19psi for the past 3.5 years. No problems at all, it's my only car too so it goes everywhereEitherway a 4agze wont last long at 19psiIt also sees the track, drags, motorkhanas and general good times

My brother ran his 4AGTE (OEM pistons, bottom end etc) on ~24psi with no problems for a short while. He did need to upgrade the valve springs (due to the level of boost causing valve float) and he was running 550cc injectors. I have run mine at 21psi but it's beyond the efficiency of the turbo and peak power is not much higher than at 18-19psi so it's not worth running any higher on my car.is it possible to boost higher? I am still using the stock piston and stock Injector.Thanks.
An experienced tuner should be able to find the maximum boost/timing/rpm your engine will safely handle. Probably better to let them determine the limits and see what power you make with it rather than having some people on here hit you with numbers that may not be suitable for your particular engine setup. Detonation and excessive rpm are the main killers of an engine that is going to get hard time.
What sort of driving do you plan to do with your car mate?

So yours has lasted, congrats. Im just trying to give this guy a heads up that in most instances running around the 20psi mark on these engines isnt a good thing for the longterm If you drive like a nutter.... Sorry I dont agree the stance that 20psi is a good thing for longevity....

170-180rwkw? thats with a 15-20% guesstimation of drivetrain loss. Ofcourse thats being very general and drivetrain loss is speculative to each car.
The figuires sound ABOUT right. A friends stock gze + t28bb makes around 165rwkw. I believe from memory Singapore has a deacent rated fuel octane... 103ron?
