    i am just wondering whats the best kick down cabel to put on a auto behind a 18rgeu.

    cut down the stock 18RC one. You can buy the ends, then silver solder it on.

    Hmm... kickdown from a late 70's cressida might do the trick. Pretty sure they also used an A40. Cant remember if the A40Ds from the RA65s had a kickdown cable or computer controlled shifting... but that might be an idea, as the 22RE throttlebody is in about the same position as the 18RGUE TB.

    yeah that auto i got off you seems to be ok, but i think its the kick down corsing the trouble i am having, it revs up a bit then jumps in to gear, will shift smooth other times thou

    fluid level?? They tend to drop a bit lower after some running due to the torque converter etc all filling up. Check the smoothness of the kickdown cable, from memory it wasnt sticky, but best to check.

    yeh i think the oil level is good, and the kick down dont return properly but i think thats cause the cable is too short, and does not stay in box properly.
