im fitting a 20v to my aw11 i have a few questions about the gearboxes..
Will the extractors foul on the starter motor if i use a c52 gearbox
If i use the c56 will the c52 driveshafts fit
Also will the c52 driveshafts fit the s/c hubs?
I have a 20v in my aw11, with the factory 20v extractors (4-2-1) and there are no issues with fouling of the starter motor, and I'm using the original aw11 c52 box. However the starter is mounted on the opposite side to the extractors (there's two possible locations remember). although I can't even remember what side it was mounted with the factory engine![]()

ahhh thats right i remember reading something like that the e51 has it on the intake side too sweet one less thing to worry about!!+rep
ive worked out i can use the aw11 driveshafts with the c56 but there are modifications needed to make the shifter work so im gonna stick with the c52 i thinks cause its simpler if i can find one that is used to not be able to give em away now i cant find one lol
i know that s/c driveshafts fit into the na c52 hubs, as long as it's a 87+ aw11 the hubs/driveshaft spline is the same. Also will the c52 driveshafts fit the s/c hubs?
wishing i lived in nsw so i could give gun and drifty some decent competitions......
turbo plans on hold unfortunatley ive been given an ultimatum to get the car out of the garage so cheapest quickest way is to put a 20v in unfortunatleythe turbo setup needs too much work atm
