*** not a 1G owner**
but here goes,
i know that people with the classic celicas are either doing the popular excel radiator conversion which has a place for you temp sensor to screw into,
or you could just stick it into the top radiator hose, and add sealant,

haha, i dont really wanna jam it into the rad hose, nor change radiator.. but the rad hose bit gives me an idea..
i might fabricate up a little pipe section to thread the sender into, then cut the radiator hose i 2 and mount it in between..
Any other ideas
cheers

I didn't change the radiator - I removed it and took it to Natrad for them to weld a nut onto it.
I provided the nut too.![]()

Thats what i did, I used a piece of mild steel i scabbed from my local exhaust shop and tapped a thread in it screwed the temp sender in with a bit of sealant. I welded some steel mounting brackets to it so it would earth the sender then used it as an extension for my top radiatior hose due to my engine conversion.. too easyOriginally Posted by Stomps

umm, whats wrong with the stock temp sender locations....
theres one that screws in a bit below the thermostat housing on the front and there are the 2 for the ecu on the exhaust side of the engine, just below the thermostat housing again...
it may not seem like it but i appreciate all the help you guys give!

I used the original temp sender to suit the oem dash cluster temp gauge.. it has a smaller thread on it than the one on the new motor.. i had to use the original temp sender otherwise the gauge would not read accurate.Originally Posted by love ke70
thats what i did in my ke70. the temp sender out of the 4k matched the 1g one perfect, only read different![]()
