ga70 auto stall speed

Im wondering does anybody know or can check the auto stall speed of a ga70 .
check it drive not reverse.
Iwant to use the convertor in a cressida with 7m and dont want to use the 1g one if the stall speed is higher than the 7m one.

The stall speed is dependent on the amount of torque the engine produces. So if you had the 1g converter and it stalled to 2200rpm and you put it in a 7m it would most likely stall at 2500rpm or so (just guessing numbers)

Do you have a 7m-gte? If the 1g and the 7m stall at the same rpm with their original converters then if you put the 1g one in (if it fits) then I think that would be a good thing. I just went from a 2000rpm to a 2500rpm stall and I noticed absolutely no difference in drivability.

Hey when u stall the car up...do you just do i tagainst the brakes ro do you use the handbrake....just curious what the best method to use my mv 2800 stall for the best launch....

Footbrake, I don't know why you'd use the handbrake.

most use foot and handbrake. Any additional braking force is good as you will be able to rev it a bit higher before it starts spinning.

My response was directed at the post above it.

You might need a bit more braking force to find the actual stall speed of your converters. Although you could probably perform a valid comparative test between them with conventional brakes.

To find out what the stall speed is:

1. drive along at about 15kms/hr in 1st
2. mash throttle
3. watch what the revs "flash" to before the car starts accelerating

That is your stall point. This is the figure that the converter shops will give you ie.depending on the engine a 2800rpm converter may actually go to 3000rpm on the foot brake.
