Does no one have a pride and joy that they wish to show to the public. Possibly win a major trophy. The show and shine on the 1/10/06 at Strathpine QLD is open to all cars up to and including 1995 The word Classic does not mean oldies.. Where are the Truno - AE86 Corolla's- Soarers- Seca- MR2 etc.
Lets show the Ford and Holden followers that we will be seen to be believed.
Are you aware of the JAE show and Shine in England. Last year it was to big for the airstrip it was at. This year entries are restricted. I know we wont get that big. But without support the Ford and Holdens will still rule.
Entries close 25/September. If you wish to enter please be early to alow us to allocate. For further info contact me
Regards RAY
For those wanting to go, entry forms are on the ZClub's web site:

I'll be there to gawk - this looks like being the replacement for All Toyota Day!!
No wrong. The all Toyota day group (Rising Sun ) has been invited to join us as their day was cancelled.Originally Posted by thechuckster
Prefer to see the cars in the display rather than in the car park. Dont be afrid if it does not shine as the model amd marques is what we are after, also the overall number.
Come join in and give the entry fee to charity (Angel Flight)

Sorry Ray ... was just reading too much into the lack of announcements from the Rising Sun club.
There's a few folks from the Qld Toyota Car Club whove said they're going - next newsletter will include a reminder.
cheers,
Charles.
I live in strathpine and drive a 1985 twin turbo z10 soarer. Where is it at? My paint isn't perfect though as i chipped some off when i was doing the conversion, i could try and spray it though.

So anyone else going? this is in direct competition with toyfest or whatever it is called, so i think some people are heading down to that.
You said entries close on the 25th but the website says 15th? Which one is it?

They've extended the entry deadline !!!!
So... now is the chance to show off your car!!
Projects, incomplete or nearly finished are also welcome - as is factory-stock examples of the marques. You don't need to have a mint condition RA25 to enter (tho it would be great to see one make an appearance).
More info here and entry forms:

There's an entry fee of just $10 for competitors, being a static display all display vehicles must be parked in the grounds by 9.00am. And vehicles will be expected to stay until 2.00pm. Entrants will be available to enter the grounds from 7.30am.
Spectators are being asked to donate a gold coin for charity.
... no-one from the Toyota camp has sent in an entry form yet folks ;(
I am working on it, but don't have a check account so am tring to get one. Is there a "team" i am entering or do i just park anywhere when i get to the park?

Contact the Z-club about payment - they probably can do direct deposit.
When you turn up, the organisers will put show cars in appropriate spots - this way you'll be able to see the various marques and models together rather than randomly across the paddock.
Entry sent in. Where is your entry chuckster?
I ticked Toyota and toymods incase there are enough people and they want to do a toymods display. Cmon people!

i'll be there with Simon & family - he's bringing three cars i think. Is not worth putting my ute up for showing - there is nothing special about it ... RA40 continues to lurk in the garage and avoid starting.
btw, my photos from today for interested parties

Yeah I think I'll be keen to join in the display next year. Seemed much more inviting than for example the Mcleans bridge display on once a year, and more variety than, say, the All Toyota day. Would be good to see it grow in popularity.
